Product Overview
Off-Street Platform Edge Tactiles were designed to provide a warning for people with visual impairments. These tactile warnings are placed on off-street transport platforms.
The tactile paving surface is intended to alert pedestrians of the edge of the platform. The 5mm raised blisters can be read by foot or cane, warning of the approach to a railway platform edge.
The blister pattern is offset which can be used to identify the direction the platform edge is running.​
Product Options
They are available for purchase in packs of ten, each measuring 400mm x 400mm or 1220mm x 400mm for covering standard platform copers.
We offer four colour options: Buff, Yellow, Red, and Charcoal.
We hold a large volume of stock which is ready for next-day nationwide delivery.
Fixing Method
They can be applied to all common substrates, using our specialist tactile paving adhesive. The tactile adhesive benefits from fast curing and moisture tolerant properties.
One tub of adhesive is suitable for 10 tiles (one box) - or 2.4 square metres.
Technical Specification
The Platform Edge Warning Surface (Off-Street) is set by rows of flat domes that are 5mm (±0.5mm) tall. Domes are arranged in an offset pattern. The distance between the centre of one dome and the centre of the next is 66.5mm.
