GRP Flooring Installation Gude
The installation of GRP Flooring Sheets is a fast and simple process.
GRP Flooring is lightweight, easily transportable and designed for practical installation on-site.
We recommend using a structurally bonding adhesive and mechanical fixings, when possible. This will ensure a reliable and secure fit.
See further guidance for area preparation and installation tips below...
Area & Material Preparation
Ensure the existing flat surface is clean, dry, and free from loose materials, grease, oil, and dust.
Position the anti-slip sheets in place to ensure they freely fit without any hindrance.
If adjustments are needed, our GRP sheets can be cut on-site using orbital cutting equipment with a diamond blade.
Adhesive Installation Method
To install the Anti Slip GRP Sheet, first apply a 6mm bead of strong adhesive. Place the bead 20mm away from the edge of the sheet, ensuring that it is evenly distributed all around. Then, make a crosshatch pattern on the adhesive, with 200mm spacing between each line.
Apply pressure with hands to then lay the anti-slip grp sheet in place.
Screw Fixing Installation Method
Screw Fixings will strengthen and secure the panel in place.
It is recommended to use both screw fixings and an adhesive bond for greater longevity and to reduce any movement. Screws should be used in combination with industrial-grade adhesives.
Drill Holes Quantity & Positioning: We recommend drill holes be positioned 50mm away from the edge of the panel. The maximum distance between drill holes should be 400mm. Additional fixings may be required as substrates vary considerably.
Pre-Drilling Service: Prior to delivery, we can pre-drill screw hole fixings into the surface to save time on-site. We can prepare these to our own recommendations, or to meet your unique specification for a small fee.
